I took these photos over the span of a week or two, which is why they don't have much in common. I think that is fine. each image can work as a stand-alone, which I like. The first image is similar to the DtMF album by Bad Bunny. I really like that song with the same name. I think what I like about that album cover is that the image is very loud without having anything "loud" in the picture. It's just chairs and trees, but it holds so much value and meaning. For the second picture I like how the grass flows from the top right down to the opposite corner, and I like the golden cast that the light leaves. The third image is of Brooke's hand. The only thing I had to adjust in photoshop is applying a dark brush to the top of her hand. In general, all of these images only have very light edits, if any. I kept this phrase in my mind: the image shouldn't need editing in order to be strong." That helped me take images that I actually had hope in from the jump. Moving on, I think the image of the pipe and the flowers has the strongest message of natural perseverance. I got up early in the morning so I could hopefully get some refreshing morning light. I don't think the second to last image is as visually interesting as the rest, but It has a little bit of meaning to me. There was a glass pane indoors with a protective image to stop birds from smashing into it. But it's indoords, so the possibility for that is very low. Lastly, this image is visually appealing to me because of the subtle color contrast and weight that the chains carry.
