Conditions for this post were not ideal, but not horrible. they were just different. It was so cold, but I wanted to use the unique environment to my advantage to get some cool shots. I knew it would be more challenging. I live next to park which I love because nature photography is one of my favorites, which I showed a bit of in post X. The creek was frozen over and had a cool texture to it, which I wanted to capture as part of "evidnce". I like how the brown and orange colors of the squirrel contrast next to the white snow. I think color is one of my favorite aspects to use in my photos, as seen with the early growing flower buds. Even though I like color, I can appreciate the artistry of black and white photography too. A prior professor of mine told me that if color was being too much of an issue, you can always just turn it black and white. I think that is good advice. I also heavily use the rule of thirds in my photos. When i go to checkthe cropping, I always make sure it is at least somewhat alighed with the rule of thirds. if it's not, it irks me. and i'm less likely to use that photo in my final selection., this is the most true when I have a clear subject, like the dog paw photo. but with the evidence I collected like the tire marks in the snow, it's less as important. I think evidence is shown in different ways across these final photos. although I mainly liked and used most of my outdoor photos, I wanted to include at least one good inddor photo to show that I also completed that part of the assignment.
